It's The Spookiest Month of The Year

Hello!

It's nearing the end of October...
I love this month...  Autumn is finally here, the weather is getting a bit colder which means layers of clothing and cool boots!!! (oh I love my boots....). The landscape changes, the leaves on the trees starting browning and falling... Now that I live in Scotland I appreciate it a lot more, it's beautiful in here...

and it also means, Halloween! So of course, a Halloween card was on the cards!

I got this Kenny K digital stamp last year for a different project and I thought it would be perfect for a girlie (and goth!) but not too freaky Halloween card. It's called "Kitty Katastrophe".




I used this sketch by Love to Create


 The papers I've used are from the Desert Blooms Collection by First Edition Paper. They are perfect for this card due the Autumnal colours (oranges, browns and pinks) and the contrast of the dots and stripes. 
I also added an orange scalloped circle, created with an Ellison Die and gave it tiny dots texture using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

 

"Kitty Katastrophe" is so fun to colour! as usual, I coloured her with my Promarkers: for the hair I've used Peach, Coral, Slate, Amethyst and Antique Pink; for her face and body, Sandstone, Vanilla, Blossom and Blender pen; for her clothes, Honeycomb, Peach, Slate, Amethyst and Orchid.

I made the "YOU ARE WICKED" sentiment myself , using a Jonathan S. Harris font. I love the double meaning of this sentiment!

The purple lace ribbon, black rhinestones and brad were bought in local shops.
