While making the card I'm going to show you today I realised something...... I'm "scared" of hot colours!!! I usually make cards in soft colours (soft pinks, blue, neutral), and I don't put bright warm colours together... But I got brave and mixed pink, orange, red and yellow in one card, all together! Hopefully the card looks good and you like it!
So, this is it!
wow, it's bright!
The image I've used is called "Bibi's Balloons" by Mayzy Art. I bought it ages ago and never used it until now. I'm not sure why because it is such a fun digi!
The papers I've used are from: First Edition Desert Blooms paper pad and two from Studio Calico Snippets Collection paper pad.
I used this sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
I saw the layers and I went for it! I can't resist layers....
The Promarker colours I used to colour the image are:
Balloons: Poppy, Cold Grey 5 and 3, Blossom, Pink Mittens, Peach, Soft Peach, Mustard and Eggnog. Antique pink and blossom for ribbon in ballons.
Hair: Raw Sienna, Cocoa, Sandstone, Buttermilk
Skin: Vanilla, Almond and Satin
Ribbons: mustard and buttermilk.
Clothes: Cool Grey 5 and 3, Poppy, Mustard, Buttermilk, Peach, Soft Peach, Dusky Pink, Pink Carnation, Blossom and Pink Mittens.
I really enjoyed colouring this image... so many details. And I loved the hair!
I fussy cut the image and put it on a white background for it to stand out.
I put a mini foam pad under her hand, to give the effect that she is waving!
I used the Martha Stewart Heart Confetti punch for the little red hearts.
Pink string, butterfly charm, washi tapes, rhinestones and buttons are all from local shops.
I created the sentiment on my computer.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown #178 - Stripes (stripe paper)
I hope you have enjoyed this fun card! If you do, please leave a comment below... I love comments!
and don't forget to follow!
Until tomorrow!
