loving washi tape...

Hi there!

Back today with a new card. Clean and simple this time, with quite a few bits of washi tape here and there... I'm totally addicted to washi tape... I can't leave my local craft shops without buying a few rolls each time! I really have fun playing around with it, but I must hold the record on the amount of times I move it around my card!

Anyway... on to the card

For this card I used one of the new bird images from Bugaboo stamps.
I coloured it with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

Card Recipe

7x5 card blank
Green checked paper from Recollections Signature special Fabulous girl paper pad
"Torn Notebook" Tim Holtz alterations On the Edge die
Scrap paper
Different types from washi tape from Dovecraft, The Works  and local shop.
Enamel dots from local shop in Spain
hand-stitching with white thread
Sentiment is my own, created on my computer

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs - Tic Tac toe (word/washi/real stitching)

I really hope my new take on a CAS card!
don't forget to leave a comment and follow if you are not already!

Thank you with a Flower

Hi there!

I'm here again to share a last minute card I had to make. A request from my Husband, who needed a Thank you card to give to his Line Manager, who is moving forward to a different role.

I wanted to make something simple, but cute and bright at the same time. I haven't used any patterned paper this time, something I have actually quite enjoyed!!! I have also created the background myself, using different colour inks and a circle-cut shape to create it. I'm very pleased with it.

The image I've used is the Dollar Flower bug from Bugaboo stamps, which I coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
The sentiment is a freebie from TLC creations.

Card Recipe

7 x 5 card blank
bright pink card stock
Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the Bugaboo digi
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
gems
flowery ribbon
different coloured inks for background, made using a die-cut circle

I'd like to enter the following challenges (in no particular order)

Inkspirational #99 - Thank you with something new (digital stamp and background technique I used are new)
Glitter n Sparkle #170 - Tic Tac Toe (gems, digi image, ribbon)

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a comment and follow me if you want to get updated on my new makes!

Until next time!

I'm back!!!!! with a very colourful Christmas card!!!

Hi!!!!
I'm back!!!! Can you believe that it's been around 20 months since the last time I blogged (or made a card)....

What happened???  a lot of stuff in my life got on the way and I decided to stop crafting. I got pregnant and I started to feel really ill.... I couldn't concentrate on crafting, or sitting down on my desk to craft. I was part of 3 wonderful Designing teams, which I had to quit. I really enjoyed being part of them, but I got a bit overwhelmed and stressed out, and together with being ill I just couldn't cope.

Last week it was Aisha's first birthday.... I feel like I may have a bit of time for myself from now on and make a card or two while she's napping, in bed or when my lovely husband is at home... Let's see how it goes! but the crafting bug is back !

So as the season requires, I've started with Christmas cards!!! I've made a few already, quite simple without a lot of embellishments or layers as I need to send them on the post. I also want to explore different styles of card making... I love lots of layers and embellishments on my cards, but since starting to craft again I'm obsessed with a more simple look... I guess I'll be making a bit of both....it will depend on my mood!

So this is my first card:

I've used this fun digi from Bugaboo Stamps. I used my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour it.

Card recipe:
7 x 5 white card base
Pattern paper (freebie from magazine)
Stripy washi tape
Star punched from colour cardstock
Bling on stars
Sentiment is my own creation

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment if you like my card. Any feedback is very much appreciated!!!!

Until the next time!

Where has the week gone???? I remember Sunday... and suddenly it's Friday!!!  this week I've taken it a bit easy on my blog... Some weeks I can't stop making cards and blogging about them..., but sometimes I need some rest, and this week I really needed it!

They are a fantastic bunch of crafters... so talented! I'm really glad I'm part of the team! Thank you so much for having me!!!

So, as every Friday, we have a new challenge at

This week's challenge is hosted by Janette and the theme is

Spring time!!!!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps

and the price is 7 images of the winner's choice!!!

and Crafty Ribbons

So, after reading about my card, hop over to Crafty Catz and join us in the challenge!!! my fellow DTs have beautiful cards for inspiration.. and don't forget to check out the new GDT for April, Teresa

and this is my DT card!

The image is called Girlz - Bare feet from this week's sponsor Bugaboo, which they kindly donated.

As the theme is Spring time, I wanted to use some pretty floral papers, so I chose these ones from Crate Paper Little Bo Peep paper pad. I really loved the bright turquoise, pink and yellow colour on the flowers, so I decided for that colour scheme for my card.
The turquoise dots paper is a piece of scrap... I think it was from a magazine freebie...

All the papers have been distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Tool and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Old paper. I also hand-stitched around two of the layers with white thread.

For this card I chose a layout from Sketch #261 from Sketch Saturday Challenge.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I used: Tan, Almond, Satin, Turquoise, Duck Egg, Vanilla, Blossom and Antique Pink and blender pen.

Then I masked the image and inked around it with a yellow ink pad... I love the effect! it makes the image stand out a lot more!

Next to the image, I used the Doily border die from Sizzix, which I also distressed with Tim Holtz Old paper.

To follow the sketch, I used two types of washi tape and a button on the top right corner.

The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The pearls are from Hobbycraft.
The brads (in middle of flowers), ribbon and bow are from my stash, from local shops.

I created the sentiment on my computer and I cut it with a tag die, which was a freebie from a magazine last summer.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Alphabet Challenge - "D" for diecuts  (Sizzix border doily die cut and tag die cut)
Incy Wincy challenge - Tic Tac Toe (my line is: yellow, pearls, lace)

This weeks challenge is  Paper piecing and it is hosted by Jac
The Sponsor is BUGABOO

prize...7 images of winners choice

So, start making your project with paper-piecing on it, and join Crafty Catz challenge this week!!!

And this is the card I've made!

I used one of the sponsor's images that they kindly donated. It's called "Ava Flower Patch".

The papers I've used are from magazine freebies (polka dot paper). The stripes floral paper is from my stash, I've been for hours trying to find out which paper pad I got it from, and I can't find it! I really should take notes when I make my cards to avoid this... sorry... lesson learnt!

As an extra layer, I used a green fabric frame (similar shape to a Polaroid frame) from Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection. I think it's meant to be used for scrapbooking, but I saw it and I had to have it! they  are 12 different designs on the pack, some with sentiments included, like this one "Enjoy". I added the button from my stash.  I love the effect that it gives to the card, a bit different to a normal layer. I used a piece of blue scrap paper from K&company as a background to this frame.

I hand-stitched the bottom layer and horizontal layer with white thread.

To follow this week's challenge theme. I paper-pieced the image's dress and hair bow with a piece of yellow and faded blue polka dots paper.

The rest of the image is coloured with my Promarkers.

I used: Raw Sienna, Sandstone, Buttercup, Vanilla, Almond, blossom, Powder Blue, Cornflower, tulip yellow, leaf green, moss and blender pen.

I inked the edges of the image with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
I also placed some gem rhinestones in the flowers and in the punched butterfly.

The "With Love" ribbon is from Hobbycraft.
The flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts
The rhinestones gems are from local shop.

I would also like to enter the following challenges with this card (in alphabetical order)
