Hiya! First of all, I'd like to welcome my new followers!!!! Thank you so much, you make all this so much worthy! you make me happy! I'm really glad that you like my creations and decided to click the " follow" button!

It's Sunday! we've had a pretty nice weekend. Yesterday we went out to do a bit of exploring around our area.... we moved to the Scottish Highlands a year ago, and every so often we like to get in the car and drive... not knowing where we are heading to! it's the best to discover little villages and amazing landscape... so much to see around here! it's just beautiful. Today we've been in the swimming pool, Alaia is enjoying it so much!! I'm trying to teach her how to swim... I think it's going to take a while!

Anyway... back to why I'm here!!! as every Sunday, there is a new challenge at

It's challenge #199, and the theme this week is

Flowery Springtime
(plus a sentiment)

Easy!!! who doesn't like flowers??? and Spring??? Spring is officially here... I say officially, because it's absolutely freezing! and we've had a few snowflakes coming down the last few days! buy we can always dream.. and getting in the right Spring mood making a beautiful card for the challenge! so go to Sentimental Sundays,  check the beautiful projects my fellow DTs have made for your inspiration and join in the challenge this week!

Our sponsor this week is Deedee's Digis

And this is my card for this week's challenge!

For this card I chose to play with this image from  Deedee's digis. And I can tell you that it was so much fun!!! This digi comes in a set called "Rainy Day" , together with another image, the clouds and a few sentiments!

The papers are from American Crafts Amy Tangerine Yes, Please paper pad (the stripes and colourful flowers paper) and from Papermania Capsule Collections Pastels - spots and stripes (the little spots paper).

As I like my layers, I added a green doily paper behind the image.
I also played with the clouds that come in the digi set, placing one on top of the little duck and the other one behind the image, half hidden. I love how this ended up!

I coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I used: Eggnog, Buttercup, Tulip yellow, Mustard, Soft Peach, Peach, Leaf green, Antique pink, blossom, pink mittens and powder blue.

I inked the edges of the clouds with blue ink.

I also paper-pieced the umbrella with a little piece of flowery scrap paper.

The sentiment is from the digital set, which I printed directly to the patterned paper.

I also used to embellish:
Green ribbon and bow from local shop.
2 Buttons from local shop.
Flowers from local shop and Wild Orchid Crafts.
Gems on the flowers from local shop.
Two types of washi tape from local shop.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Creative Corner challenge - A little texture (I used buttons, 3D flowers, flowers and layers for texture)
Wags n Whiskers #125 - Rainbows (I used the rainbow colours)

I really hope you like my DT card for Sentimental Sundays! please leave me some love in the comments and don't forget to follow! :)

Until next time!
