I'm just sooo busy at the moment! There aren't enough hours a day! I just don't seem to get organised properly, anyway... after all day juggling motherhood, family, a bit of socialising with friends... I start making cards late at night, once the little one is in bed (and sometimes the hubby as well), so I have some peace and quite and I can concentrate and craft... For all of you out there who are in full-time jobs, how do you manage?
By the way... aren't you tired of winter already? I can't wait for the nice weather (if it ever comes, you never know!), so dreaming with spring and summer and holidays!!!! lol. I can't wait...
Anyway... I made this card last night and I wanted to show it to you today....
I used this beautiful image called "Aurora" by The East Wind. It is a freebie at the moment when you subscribe to their newsletter. I've just discovered these beautiful designs and I can't wait to use more!
This is the sketch I followed. It's from the Sketchy Colors challenge. I just can't resist to try a sketch when I see layers!
I placed the image in a circle instead of a rectangle...
I used different designer papers. They are from: Fairy Belle Collection from Jodie Lee Designs and others are non-branded.
I love the soft colours I've used this time... purple and white with a bit of green. I never thought it would work, I hope it did!
I used Tim Holtz Distress Tool and Tim Holtz Distress ink in Milled Lavender to distress the edges of the papers.
As usual, I used my Promarkers to colour the image.
Sandstone, Ivory and Satin for the hair.
Vanilla, Almond and Blossom for the skin.
Lilac, lavender and blender pen for clothes, flowers and eyes.
Moss and Leaf green for the butterfly.
I used a rose and leaves clear stamp (a freebie from a magazine) with green ink to decorate around the image.
The butterfly border is from Joy Crafts. I used some glitter glue together with Tim Holt Distress Ink in Milled Lavender.
The flourish swirl is a die from Marianne Creatables.
The flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The Ribbon and buttons are from local shops.
I created the sentiment myself on the computer.
