You Rock, Boy!!!

Hello!

I hope you are all well, and had a fun day yesterday Trick or Treating!!!!!
Sadly we couldn't take Alaia Trick or Treating as we were travelling, I know she would have loved it!

Today I have for you a card for boys. I don't make a lot of cards for men/boys... I guess I'm more of a pink, pastel colours, with lots of embellishments and flowers kind of girl.... But I really enjoyed making this one! so I'm going to start making boy cards a lot more often. As I can't use flowers and girlie stuff, it makes me think a lot more about how to make the card look "cool". I've also realised that I haven't got so many papers that I can use for male cards, so I know what my next craft shopping spree is going to be about!  Do you find men/boy cards more difficult to make?

I used this great image called "Anime Rocker" by Kenny K. His images are great, his style is quite edgy (punk, goth, sexy... ). He also has a lot of characters made in the "anime" style, like the one I've used this time.

The papers I've used are from my K&Company paper pad. I bought it ages ago, it has over 300 paper sheets, lots of different designs. I forgot where I bought it from, but I remember it been really worth the money!  I decided to stick with autumnal colours like orange, green, yellow. It's the best time of the year to used them!

I really enjoyed colouring this image. As usual, with my Promarkers! I'm really trying to improve my colouring... but I guess, it will come with experience!!!!
For the face I used: Sandstone, Vanilla, Blossom and Coral.
For the hair: Slate, Orchid, Lavender and Blender Pen.
For the jeans (I tried to give the jeans a bit of a "wash-out" effect): Azure, China Blue, Cornflower.
For the T-Shirt: Peach, Spice, Coral, Moss, Leaf Green and the blender pen.
For the guitar: Mustard, Tulip Yellow, Winter Berry.
For the Shoes: Moss, Leaf Green, Spice, Peach, Coral and blender pen.

I used my new Tim Holtz Alterations die to cut the black card stock as a notebook paper and I punched some stars to embellish the empty corner at the top right.

I inked all the papers and card edges with black ink to define the borders a bit more.

The rest of the embellishments are quite simple. I used black rhinestones (it's OK to  use some "bling" in boy cards, right?), coloured brads, spiral paper clip and an arrow sticker... all from local shops.

The sentiments are my own. I used a Jonathan S. Harris font  called "Kids Play" to create them.

I'm entering this card  into the following challenges:
