I hope you all had a great weekend!!!!
We went away for the weekend, to visit our family in Manchester. We had a great time, but Alaia got a bit of temperature the last two days, so she couldn't enjoy so much... Thanks to my sister-in-law, she offered to take care of her for a bit and we were able to meet some friends for lunch... After half an hour waiting for them in the restaurant, we found out we were sitting at different restaurants, and they had also been waiting for us!!!! so we had to cross the whole city centre to meet! my fault, as it seems I can't read text messages properly....
We came back home late last night, and straight away I started to make a card! I've been so busy that I had to make this card very last minute, I worked until 2 am to have it ready today... to find out, when I gave the card and a little present with it, that my friend's birthday is not until next month!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm losing my mind!!!!
So moving on to the card... I really hope she likes it, even when she received it one month in advance!
The card is mainly blue and black. I used a rubber stamp by Wee Stamps.
The background paper is from the Black & Gold Paper Pack by Forever Friends.
I followed a sketch by Come and Get It challenges. I flipped the design horizontally as I though it works better for the stamp I used.
I coloured the little fairy with my Promarkers. I really love how her hair turned out! I'm not very confident colouring hair yet, but I'm really happy with the outcome on this one.
For the hair I used: Azure, Powder Blue, Slate and blender pen.
For her face and skin: Sandstone, Vanilla, Blossom.
For the wings: Cornflower and Powder blue.
I paper-pieced the dress with a bit of scrap paper I had left.
I used pearls to embellish the wings and the corners of the embossed card stock.
I embossed the blue card stock to give the card some texture with the "In Bloom" embossing folder by Craft Concepts.
The small corners are die-cuts from a Sizzlits die.
The Ribbon, pearls, lace and buttons are from a local shop.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
