Christmas is getting closer!!! just one month left to put the Christmas tree up (I usually put it on the first or second week of December), with all the nice decorations I've been collecting over the past few years). I just love everything about Christmas... Now that I live in the Highlands, I really want a white Christmas!!!! that would be a really nice bonus to all the excitement and fun! Alaia is looking forward to it as well. She has her little list for Santa (she knows she needs to be a good girl!), and we can't wait to write the letter to Santa together....
Going back to talking about crafts, I've treated myself to new a storage unit!!! yay! I haven't got a craft room, just the space under the stairs in my living room, and I need to be a bit clever about how I set up my craft area, so I got myself an 11-drawer multicolour tower from Hobbycraft and I love it! My main tools and embellishments are now more organised and handy! I would still like it to be a bit more organised, but well, I have to work with what I've got!
Today's card is one of my favourites so far....
To make this Christmas card I've used this great image, a digital stamp called "Winter Fairy Halla" by Mo Manning (Mo's Digital Pencil).
The papers I've used are from "Somebunny to love" paper pad, Christmas decorations paper pad by Usborne and some from my stash that I can't remember where they came from, sorry!
I used sandpaper to distress the edges of all the card stock.
I have put glitter almost everywhere!!!! When I start with the glitter I can't stop! For the Fairy blow I used the Marianne Creatables Swirl die, which I covered in glitter.
I punched glitter paper to use as falling snow.
The other dies I used are the Sizzix Doily thinlits and Joycrafts snowflakes.
The green rose is from Wild Orchid crafts. The white roses I've had them for a very long time, I don't remember where I got them from. And of course, I added some glitter to them!!! Sparkly flowers!
And my favourite thing... colouring! I used my Promarkers.
For the face and boy: sandstone, vanilla, blossom and blender pen.
For the hair: Eggnog, buttermilk, mustard and blender pen.
For the clothes and wings: Duck egg, mint green and blender pen.
I added some glitter glue to the wings and pom-poms.
Another close-up.....
The ribbon is from Do Crafts. The brad and rhinestones are from local shops.
