Sentimental Sundays DT post #194 : Pack a Puch (use a punch or die cut)

Hello again! I'm back (busy Sunday!!!) as it's time for a new challenge at

Sentimental Sundays

Today's theme at Sentimental Sundays challenge is:

Pack a Punch (use a punch or die cut)
(plus a sentiment)

Easy!!!! I don't know about you, but I hardly make a card without using a punch or die cut!!!

This week's sponsor is Doodle Pantry.

they kindly donated an image for me to work with, and I chose a really fun one called "Balloon Ants", aren't they cute??!!!

The papers I've used are from: Paparmania Capsule collections Pastel Spots and Stripes and Let's fly away Paper Stack (this was a freebie with Quick Cards magazine a few years ago). I though this paper will look great as the ants are flying...

I used my Promarkers to colour the image.

I used: coral, peach, soft peach and cool grey 5 to 1.

The sentiment is 1 out of 5 sentiments included with the digital image package. I used the Happy birthday one, but there are another 4 really fun sentiments.

I hand-stitched the background layer with yellow thread.

I built up the layers, playing with different shapes

I used two punches: a border punch along the main image and a corner punch.

To embellish, I just used some ribbon and 3 buttons.

So, don't wait a minute, hop over to Sentimental Sundays challenge and join us. A really easy challenge this week, no excuses!!! My team mates also have really cool cards to show you, so don't forget to check them out!

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Cute Card thursday #308 - Clever cutting (I've used punches) 2nd entry

Please leave a comment if you can, they make me happy!!!

and don't forget to follow! :)

Thank you for stopping by!!!
Until very soon
