So after you read about my card, hop over to Crafty Catz challenge and join us in the fun! the rest of the DT have made stunning card for your inspiration.

and this is my DT card for this week's challenge!

a very simple card this time....
The little dog is called "Winter Westie" from this week's sponsor Fred She Said. This image comes in a set. with the dog wearing a scarf, another 2 pre-coloured images and without scarf... I decided to used the non-scarf  and not pre-coloured image, as I didn't want to make a winter card and I like to colour my own images.

I really struggled with this card... I wasn't sure what type of card I should make... I don't usually use animals in my cards. But I'm happy with the end result... a bit different to what I'm used to make, but I like to be versatile with my card-making, so there you go!

I coloured the image with my Promarkers. I used just a few colours, as I wanted the dog to be white.... I used: Cool grey 3 and 2, blossom and the blender pen.

The paper's I've used are from : American Crafts Amy Tangerine Paper pad (the red and pink stripes paper), Pebbles Front Porch paper pad (the paper with "writing") and G.C.D. Studios Material Girs sheet collection pack (the little hearts paper).
I used a square nesting die to cut the window in this last paper and provide a frame for the sentiment.

For the sentiment, I used some letters covered with what I can only describe as "fake sugar"! (please let me know in the comments if you know its name!) and they are from American Crafts.

I finished of with some ribbon, bow and 3 buttons, all from local shops.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

That's it for today! please leave me some love in the comments if you get the chance... Life is really hectic for me at the moment. I've been feeling a bit unwell.. I try to visit all of you every so often... sorry It can't be more often right now...
And don't forget to follow if you are not already. Thanks so much for your support!

Until next time!

Guest Designer for Little Miss Muffet !

Morning!!!

I hope you are all ok... In here we are already on the Easter Break... Alaia is off school, so I have barely any time for myself!!!
I was supposed to be in Glasgow today... as my husband has a meeting and Alaia and I were going to tag along... But Alaia hasn't been feeling very well for the last few days, and I have also been feeling a bit poorly, so we decided to stay home... Alaia was really upset, as she loves travelling! so I promised her to go to town today in the bus and spend some girlie time together... She is really excited (more than anything due to the bus ride!!! bless her...)

On to today's card.....  Faye from Little Miss Muffet challenge asked me to Guest Design for them this week, and of course I accepted straight away! Thank you so much for having me!!!

The theme this time at Little Miss Muffet is DISTRESSED.
wow! as most of you may know.. it's one of my favourite things to do! leave me with a paper and my Tim Holtz Distressing Tool and inks and I'm the happiest girl in the world!!!

so hop over to Little Miss Muffet challenge, and join in the fun!

And this is my GDT card!

This little cutie is Babe Superstar, from  Little Miss Muffet stamps.

The papers I've used are from Crate Paper Little Boy Blue (the grey paper with little baby objects). the other paper I've had for a while.. sorry I don' know the brand as it came in a small pack, non-branded, but it's also really cute, with small baby footprints all over....

All the card-stock and papers have been distressed with the Tim Holtz Distresser tool and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Old paper and Antique Linen.
I also hand-stitched the border of all the layers with white thread.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers.
I used:
Buttercup, Mustard, Cornflower, Powder blue, Vanilla, Almond, Blossom, Tulip Yellow, Leaf Green and Cool Grey 1.

I added the "New Baby" sentiment to the star.
I also created the "Congratulations" sentiment on my computer.

As an extra layer, I used a blue doily.
I also used:
"It's a Boy" ribbon from local shop.
Flower from Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves die cuts using a Marianne Creatables die.
Button, gems and washi tape from local shops.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays DT post #201 - Vintage / Steampunk

Hi!!! how is the weekend treating you? It's a quiet weekend for us.. yesterday we stayed home, lazing around, we even had a nap! a family nap! My husband had been away almost all the week, so he was extremely tired... Today we've been doing some stuff around... but nothing really exciting... It's good sometimes to be just home and relax I guess.

As every Sunday, we have a new challenge at

The theme this week is

Vintage / Steampunk
(plus a sentiment)

I was really excited with this week's theme... as I've never made a steampunk card... so I was really looking forward to it!

The sponsor this week is Lollyrot Illustration Stamps

So, after you read about my card, hop over to Sentimental Sundays and join us in the fun! Even if you have never tried this genre, it's really exciting to try new themes and techniques!!! the DT and GDTs have made a fantastic job to give you  inspiration for this challenge!

and this is my card...

The paper's I've used are both freebies from magazines. The brown one is full of cogs and script writing...  I love it and thought it would go perfect with this card.

I used black card stock as a base.

All the papers have been distressed with Tim Holtz Distresser Tool and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Old paper.

The image is from the sponsor, which they very kindly donated for me to work with. It's called "Agatha" and it can be found here.

I used my Promakers to colour the image. I used:  Turquoise, Duck Egg, Powder Blue, Vanilla, Almond, Blossom, Pink Mittens, Buttercup, Tan, and Blender Pen.

I stamped two of the image corners with Urban Stamps Cogs stamp.

I also used this same stamp for the corner of the card, but this time I used it with Versamark embossing ink and Papermania Embossing powder in Silver.

As an extra layer, I use the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die cut, which I also embossed with Papermania embossing powder  in Silver. I did this a bit on the rough... meaning I didn't want it to come perfect and shiny and wanted to show a bit of the black card stock from the bottom.

I finished it off with:

Lace from local shop.
The Metal Cogs and Vintage Scissors charm are from The Bead shop, in the Afflecks Palace in Manchester.
I also took a washer from my tool box and added it together with the cogs.
The screw brad is from Woodware.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The two types of washi tape are from local shop.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I hope you like my steampunk card!
Please leave me some love, I really enjoy reading your comments...
and don't forget to follow!

Until next time!

A bookmark for a friend....

Hi!!!
Today I've got something a bit different for you... the other day I was thinking about a handmade present I could send to my friend in Spain... I wanted to make something personalised and easy to send! So knowing that my friends loves reading... I decided to make a bookmark for her! I really enjoyed  making it and I know it won't be my last!

I created the tag from Kraft Card.
I printed a quote from one of my friend's favourite authors, Federico Garcia Lorca
in one of my favourite papers at the moment, from Pebbles Front Porch paper pad.

The image is from Emerald Faeries (A & T digital shop), and it's so cute!!! It's called "Bindie". I know I'm going to use it a lot for this type of projects!

I coloured the image using my Promarkers.
I used: Cocoa, Raw Sienna, Sandstone, Buttercup, Vanilla, Almond, blossom, Leaf Green, Cornflower, lavender, Poppy, Moss, Cool Grey 1, tulip yellow

I inked the sky with a blue ink pad.

The letters for my friend's name are from Do Crafts Papermania Madame Payraud's mini alphabet stickers.

I inked around the bookmark with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye and with normal blue ink pad.

I used some Script washi tape at the top to blend the paper with the kraft paper.

I finished off with a bit of gold string I've had in my stash for ages.

I also covered the whole bookmark with Americana Matte Varnish, to make the bookmark sturdy and to protect it.

I really love how it ended up!

I would like to enter my bookmark in the following challenges:

I really hope you like my first ever bookmark!!!
sometimes is good to try something different!
Thank you so much for always leaving me such a lovely comment. they are very encouraging! and don't forget to follow :)

Until tomorrow!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I'm in the Crafty Catz DT!!!!

Morning!!! I hope you are all well....
Where has the week gone???? I remember Sunday... and suddenly it's Friday!!!  this week I've taken it a bit easy on my blog... Some weeks I can't stop making cards and blogging about them..., but sometimes I need some rest, and this week I really needed it!

Anyway... do you remember last Friday, when I posted my last card as GDT for the Crafty Catz Challenge???? well.. they asked me to stay and be part of their fantastic Designing team! They are a fantastic bunch of crafters... so talented! I'm really glad I'm part of the team! Thank you so much for having me!!!

So, as every Friday, we have a new challenge at

This week's challenge is hosted by Janette and the theme is

Spring time!!!!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps

and the price is 7 images of the winner's choice!!!

and Crafty Ribbons

So, after reading about my card, hop over to Crafty Catz and join us in the challenge!!! my fellow DTs have beautiful cards for inspiration.. and don't forget to check out the new GDT for April, Teresa

and this is my DT card!

The image is called Girlz - Bare feet from this week's sponsor Bugaboo, which they kindly donated.

As the theme is Spring time, I wanted to use some pretty floral papers, so I chose these ones from Crate Paper Little Bo Peep paper pad. I really loved the bright turquoise, pink and yellow colour on the flowers, so I decided for that colour scheme for my card.
The turquoise dots paper is a piece of scrap... I think it was from a magazine freebie...

All the papers have been distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Tool and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Old paper. I also hand-stitched around two of the layers with white thread.

For this card I chose a layout from Sketch #261 from Sketch Saturday Challenge.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I used: Tan, Almond, Satin, Turquoise, Duck Egg, Vanilla, Blossom and Antique Pink and blender pen.

Then I masked the image and inked around it with a yellow ink pad... I love the effect! it makes the image stand out a lot more!

Next to the image, I used the Doily border die from Sizzix, which I also distressed with Tim Holtz Old paper.

To follow the sketch, I used two types of washi tape and a button on the top right corner.

The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The pearls are from Hobbycraft.
The brads (in middle of flowers), ribbon and bow are from my stash, from local shops.

I created the sentiment on my computer and I cut it with a tag die, which was a freebie from a magazine last summer.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Alphabet Challenge - "D" for diecuts  (Sizzix border doily die cut and tag die cut)
Incy Wincy challenge - Tic Tac Toe (my line is: yellow, pearls, lace)
The Craft Garden - April: Recipe (ribbon, ink or mist -inked around image-, floral patterned paper)
Use your stuff #129 -  Die cuts (Sizzix border doily die cut and tag die cut)
