I'm back today with a new card... This time it's a Clean and Simple card, which I find so difficult to make.. But lately I've been drawn to more simpler cards... I still enjoy my layers and embellishments, but now and then I like to make something simpler, which doesn't mean easier!
I decided to make a card without any patterned papers. I bought some stencils the other day and I couldn't wait to use them to create a bit of a background. Nothing too dramatic, but it took me ages!!! I think this background was the fourth try! I've realised I'm so messy when I use inks... it's so difficult to keep the ink only in the places I want it to be... not sure if I'm making any sense, I hope so!
For this card I used the sketch for this week's CAS(E) this sketch challenge
This cute stamp is a new rubber stamp I got for Christmas. It's from Stamping Bella and it's called Tiny Townies Bree Loves Buttercream. The sentiment is part of it too.
Card Recipe
7x5 card blank
purple cardstock
white cardstock
Memento ink in tuxedo black
Promakers and Flexmarkers to colour the stamp
oval die cut
pigment ink pads in different shades of green

ReplyDeleteLoving your CAS card, the stenciled background looks fabulous, and an adorable image too. I haven't done much stenciling recently, but I find it easier when the stencil and paper are taped down a little bit with removable tape at the edges, so they won't move when inking up.
