It's Friday, It's Friday!!!!! yeah, even when at the moment I'm a stay-at-home mum, I'm glad that it's Friday... the first week after the Christmas holidays is always hard! Christmas Tree and decorations have been put away, yay! and I'm just looking forward to a quite and lazy weekend at home! If the weather is not bad, we may take Alaia to the park for a play or walk, but that's all really... And I'm actually very happy of just staying home enjoying the company of my little family. And having a lie in! I'm a very nocturnal person, I can't go to sleep early at night, but I really enjoy my mornings in bed, snuggled up under my duvet when it's so cold outside... I love it!!!!
Talking about love.... I've got a "Love" card to show you today! It's not the typical pretty and delicate full of red hearts Valentines/Anniversary card....
The image is called "Give me a Kiss" by The Paper Shelter. I really love these little cuties! They have a cool 1920's style that makes them so fun! Lately I'm all for fun and cute images that make me smile....
The papers I used are Kraft card and First Edition paper pads Rose Garden and Desert Blooms.
I hand-stitched the border of the card in green to frame the card and distressed all the edges with the Tim Holtz distresser took and Distress ink pad in Tea Dye. I love distressing paper!
I used this sketch from the Sketch Saturday challenge.
It's the perfect sketch for me, if you have been hanging around here for a while, you must know I love layers!!!
I coloured the image with my Promarkers as usual.
I used:
For the Girl: Peach, Coral, Raw Sienna, Sandstone, Buttermilk, Mustard, Vanilla, Almond, Satin, Blossom, Cornflower and Powder blue.
For the Boy: Pear Green, Lime Zest, Peach, Coral, Sandstone, buttermilk, Vanilla, Almond, Satin, Cornflower and Powder Blue.
I kept the embellishments simple, as I didn't think the card needed a lot of flowers or bling...
I used buttons and washi tape from local shop.
Tim Holtz Adage Ticket.
"With Love" ribbon from Hobbycraft.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
My Heart Pieces - Anything goes (2nd entry)
The Crafter's Cafe #45 - Anything goes (2nd entry)
