A Birthday card in Roller Skates

Hi!!!

First of all, I would like to thank you all for all the beautiful comments you have been leaving on my posts since I started blogging again... It really makes this great hobby a lot more worth it!

Today I've got another Birthday card for you.... This time requested by my 6 year-old daughter. Her friend's 7 this week, celebrating with a party on the weekend. I tell you... I'm pretty sure my daughter has a better social life than I!!!

Her memo for this card was: no pink, no princesses..... and her friend likes skating! so my first thought was to use this digi from Tiddly Inks - Wryn Skater Girl, which I've had for a while but never used before. I'm still on my mission of using up all my digital and rubber stamps.... although that won't stop me from buying new ones, of course!
And after my obsession with using bright colours on my latest cards, I decided to use one of my favourite colour combos, kraft and blue (with a bit of black here and there...)

I followed this challenging sketch from Creative Corner Challenge
I found it interesting and challenging, as I didn't know how to incorporate the image and the small circle into the sketch... I hopefully made it work!!!!

bored and tired of winter.... Hello Sunshine card

Hi there! Welcome back!
I hope you are all having a great week!
I've had time to make another card... thanks to long baby naps!! I really cherish those few hours when Alaia is in school and Aisha closes her eyes for a little nap.... First I make myself a cup of tea, relax for a bit and then I start crafting!

This card is for one my friends in Spain, whose birthday will be really soon.... Hence the Happy Birthday sentiment in Spanish.

The digital stamp I've used is call Pip and it's from Emerald Faeries. I've had it for such a long time (I won her in a challenge ) and I haven't had the chance to colour her until now...
I have so many stamps (digi and rubber) still waiting to be coloured and be used in a project... I seem to keep on buying and buying.. impossible to use them all! but they are so pretty I can't resist!
I will hopefully have more time for crafting and use them...

A lot of stamping!!!!

Hi!

Back again with a new card!
And I had to make it with a plaster on my thumb as I sliced (just a tiny bit... but let's be dramatic!) my finger with my guillotine paper cutter! How can a finger cut  be so painful I don't know!

Anyway...  a bit of a different card for me this time as I gave my Promarkers a break. But I did a lot of stamping! I got quite a few new crafty goodies for Christmas and I tried a few of them for the first time on this card.

And after a lot of tweaking and moving elements around, this is the result.
I really want to try different styles, and this is one I will try again!

I used this beautiful sentiment clear stamp as the main focus of the card. One of my new Christmas crafty goodies!  It's from the Ranger Dylusions range. I really love the meaning of the sentiment... It will make me to smile more when I read it! It's such a positive message.

I also used my new Splodge and Splat clear stamp to create the background of the sentiment.
The heart die from Sizzix by Tim Holtz and the arrow stamp from Craft Asylum Hello Sunshine (part of a set) are also new.

Card Recipe
7x5 card blank
Wording patterned paper from Pebbles Front porch paper pad
Green Chevron patterned paper from American Crafts Yes, Please paper pad
Papermania Happy Days journaling card (which I trimmed)
Sentiment from Ranger Dylusions "Clearly the Right words" clear stamps set
Inkylicious Splodge and Splat clear stamp
Arrow stamp from Craft Asylum Hello sunshine clear stamp set
Stars clear stamp from Teddy Bo & Co (magazine freebie a few years ago)
Sizzix "Scribbles and Splat" thinlits die set by Tim Holtz (heart)
Red cardstock
Pigment inks in different colours
StazOn ink in Jet black
Memento ink in Paris Dusk
Ink It Up stamp pad in Cranberry
Masking or Washi tapes
buttons
sequins
hand-stitching in white thread
Tim Holtz distressing tool
Tim Holtz distress ink in Tattered Rose

I really hope you like this card! I really enjoyed making it...

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges (in no particular order):

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Something old, something new (something new: see above; the rest is old)
4 Crafty Chicks #281 - Chevrons (patterned paper, washi tape, design in stamped arrow)
Open-Minded Challenge #1 - Something new (new stamps and die -see above-)
Corrosive challenges #11 - New Resolutions for 2016 (to smile more; also a crafting resolution: to use more rubber and clear stamps, not only digital stamps)

Until next time!!!! Happy crafting!!!!

Thank you with a Flower

Hi there!

I'm here again to share a last minute card I had to make. A request from my Husband, who needed a Thank you card to give to his Line Manager, who is moving forward to a different role.

I wanted to make something simple, but cute and bright at the same time. I haven't used any patterned paper this time, something I have actually quite enjoyed!!! I have also created the background myself, using different colour inks and a circle-cut shape to create it. I'm very pleased with it.

The image I've used is the Dollar Flower bug from Bugaboo stamps, which I coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
The sentiment is a freebie from TLC creations.

Card Recipe

7 x 5 card blank
bright pink card stock
Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the Bugaboo digi
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
gems
flowery ribbon
different coloured inks for background, made using a die-cut circle

I'd like to enter the following challenges (in no particular order)

Inkspirational #99 - Thank you with something new (digital stamp and background technique I used are new)
Glitter n Sparkle #170 - Tic Tac Toe (gems, digi image, ribbon)

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a comment and follow me if you want to get updated on my new makes!
